About Bend

Bend is nearly the geographic center of Oregon, and is the most populated city in Central Oregon with a population of just over 70,000. Bend is located 15 miles north of Sunriver. To the east is high desert and to the west are the spectacular Cascade Mountains and U.S. National Forest land. With a dry climate (over 300 days of sun per year), this all adds up to abundant recreational opportunities. For detailed information pertaining to Central Oergon's desireable weather, click here. Bend is the county seat for Deschutes County, which has a population of 135,000. Balloons over Bend
