In December of 2008 a new group stepped to the plate and purchased the Sunriver Village Mall and several commercial buildings in the surrounding area (including: the Marcello's building & the Chrome Pony/South Bend Bistro building.
The new owners are: Curry Architecture (managing partner), Colson-Colson Construction (general contractor), & 1st Premiere Properties (property manager).
The grand plans to totally redevelop the entire commercial core of Sunriver with many multi story mixed use structures has changed. In its place is a plan to tear down the nonrepairable buildings and fix what remains. Over the next 12 - 18 months a facelift will take place in an effort to revitalize the Village Mall.
They are calling it "Rediscover Sunriver"
Rediscover Sunriver Village would like to keep the community and visitors informed along this difficult, but exciting process. They will keep their website updated with all presentations by date as they become available. Please visit their website and click on the "redevelopment" tab in the top right of their home page. From there, be sure to watch one of the PowerPoint presentations to learn about their new plans. There are many factors that go into the planning and decision making process and we expect there to be many changes to these plans along the way. But we are hopeful that their common sense approach will take hold and bring renewed interest and success to our Village Mall.
